The rarest kind of love, to surrender yourself completely to your heart, to trust in it fully, to believe in it without doubting, to let it guide your life....

Book of ME... page 8 & 9

"What Happy Looks Like..."

Journaling: It's funny sometimes what some people consider ok. Where I grew up it was perfectly acceptable that a woman my age, would be a mom & working at a job I hated...All my life I wanted to have one thing...a happy life!

Here's What Happy looks like...

*Married to the most wonderful man
*artist=scrapbooker!
*Wonderful kids...most of the time. :)
*Coolest friends a girl could ever have.
*I know God loves me & will never leave me.
*I have the most supportive family around!

My Scrapbook Area...

Ok, here is where I scrap. :) I was really using up the kitchen table...and last summer my husband took out the crib (it sat where the table is now) and we purchased this kitchen table with two chairs at a yard sale for $5! So now I have my own little scrap area. I don't have to pack things up and put them away when it's lunch or dinner time... :D

Thanks for looking...

~Sherry

Fields of Grace...

This is a "tribute" page to my grandparents and their LOVE of flowers and my grandpa's garden. I did this back in March on a challenge for my AboveRubies_Scrapbook Group on Yahoo. I hope you all like them. :)

Luv ya,
Sherry

Book of ME... page 6 & 7

Journaling: WHAT I DREAM ABOUT...
It's funny how the dreams you have as a child & even as a young girl, change when you become an adult. As an adult I've seen dreams come true & I've seen 'em fall...but what I've learned from both the good & the bad -- God will NOT let you go, He will hold onto you!

My "dreams" are to be a loving wife & parent my children with grace & mercy. I dream of one day owning our own house with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, basement & attic - finishable, HUGE kitchen, livingroom, diningroom, family room, a place for me to scrapbook, a BIG pole barn for Marty, a barn full of horses, acres of land to ride those houses, a nice river or lake nerby, wooded area, and a porch going all around the house! I know it seems like a lot...but we need enough room to have all our friends & family over! :)

A NEW PERSPECTIVE

Journaling: With age comes wisdom & acceptance. I wish with all my heart I would have been accepting of myself when I was young. I was always doubting if I lived up to others expectations. Now that I'm 34, I've learned that I'm ok just as I am! I LIKE ME! It has been through discipline & hard work that I have lost almost 50 pounds! I still have weight to loose...but as a friend tells me... "What's NOT to love!"

...believe in yourself...

OK - well... I found that sappy works for me... lol

Book of ME...Page 2 & 3

Journaling: (Page 2) What can I say about myself? Writing about ME is not something I enjoy doing (along with having my photo taken)! I've thinking, reflecting, remembering and all that stuff lately. God has been working miracle after miracle in my life and in my spiritual life. I'm learning to trust & forgive others; something I've had trouble with all my life. I'm so thankful to have God's hands continually on my life, molding me and shaping me as a daughter of The King!

Journaling: (Page 3) Eight Randon Facts about me! *I'm "greedy" when it comes to my time with Marty * I LOVE music - some say that I sing beautifully * I love daisies & lilacs * on days I'm not scrapbooking I'm dreaming about it * I'm learning to love my hair * I can't keep secrets * Rebuilt a starter for my chevy Nova *Dawn says, "I'm the BEST darn friend money can buy!"

I don't know..I like these photos, but they are not my favorite anymore... keep watching for my new photos.

Luv ya, Sher

New book - all about me.... :)

Here's the book that I did. It's all about me. It was really hard to do, and I procrastinated for a while....but finally did it. It started as a 12x12, but I've changed it to 8x8.

What do ya'll think? Watch for the pages within this book in future posts.

Trying out some new stuff....

Hello my name is Sherry (my nickname is Sherita). I am a foster mother of 3 beautiful children (7, 5 & 2) two boys and a girl. My sweet husband & I have been doing fostering for almost 2 years and have had 5 children in our home. We don't have children of our own, and hoping to adopt from the foster care system. There are a lot of kids that need loving families. My husband, Martin (aka Marty), and I have been married for 13 years on March 13th. He is an awesome trim carpenter, very talented! And he is opening his own business, Carsten Custom Trim. We are VERY excited & a little nervous. 8-)

My favorite past-time is scrapbooking. I love to sit down and let out all my frustrations out on a piece of paper to rip or cut...I love to see a finished product, that I created. My sweet hubby says it's the "god" complex in all women to "create" something - children, dinner, scrapbook pages, etc....

I am going to add some scrapbooking layouts to this blog. Just to let all of you know, I have to "blur" out the kids' faces & not share their first names because they are not my own and there are some "confidentialty" issues with our foster kids. You will know them as T, Z & S.

Have a blessed day!
Sherry
