Life in General

We all go through times when we are soooo busy it seems we just don't have time for what we love. I have been there, worn the hat, & bought the T-shirt. This last year & a half has been crazy here in the Carsten house. My husband Marty is still recovering from Meningitis, but he is doing GREAT! A year ago our little foster baby J left our home & our hearts are broken. (We have not heard from his birth dad since January) We felt the most joy we could have ever felt when we adopted our 2 foster children Z & S. We left our home church of 11 years to follow what God has for us.... and we found an awesome church where we all are growing!

We spent May & June with practice then baseball games for my son Z. His team won the championship!! He was soooo very excited! My husband celebrated his 40th birthday! We had a family campout at my inlaws place upnorh. In July I fell 3 different times, broke a couple toes, and ruptured two disc. Spent the rest of the summer healing... missed out on some other reunions and stuff but got to get spoiled by our new church family, they brought us over dinner & deserts every night for 2 weeks!! God is good & His mercy endures forever! School is about to start and we are knee deep in football/cheerleading... ugh!!
