Everyone's Hero

WOW, we just watched "Everyone's Hero," what a GREAT movie!! It has two of my favorite actors... Robin Williams & Whoopi Goldberg.

Plot Summary: What if you had one chance to be a hero? Would you take it? Or play it safe? That is the question facing an ordinary boy in "Everyone's Hero," a funny and warm tale of a kid who believes he can make a difference if he just hangs in there despite the overwhelming odds. With a faith in himself instilled by his loving family, he teams up with a sassy young girl and some off-the-wall sidekicks and embarks on a sometimes perilous, often funny, cross-country quest. In the process he restores his family's honor, befriends the world's biggest sports superstar, and reveals the hero within. Not bad for a kid!

I just really love this movie. My kids & I watched it twice, in a row!! I love how they make the father of the little boy, Yankee Irving, so encouraging. The father, played by Mandy Patinkin, was so devoted to his son, taught him to believe in himself. I hope that my kids get that lesson. The only part that made my kids sad, is when the father didn't believe that Yankee didn't steal the bat.

Anyway, Happy Scrapping!
